Mucha was heavily influenced by the Pre-Raphaelite painters.

What students are saying

I attended Dru's workshop with the hope of learning to paint, I left with the ability to "see" and a system that allowed me to develop my own understanding of painting and colours. Your system has given me the freedom to explore my own creativity.

Dru's teachings showed me how to create great detail and gave me the ability to achieve PHOTOREALISM in my artworks. Thank you for pioneering the world of photorealism in airbrushing, I doubt I would have got here without your long nights and many experiments .

About Art Nouveau painting

Art Nouveau paintings was often inspired by natural forms such as the sinuous curves of the female figure, plants and flowers. Other characteristics of Art Nouveau were a sense of dynamism and movement, often given by asymmetry or "whiplash" lines as seen in ornamental S curves.

The goal was to present the beauty of nature and the female form in an elegant manner. Art Nouveau offered a key ingredient that most modern art lacks: aesthetic beauty. Lots of people overlook the fact that beauty sells.
