#1 biggest Airbrush Mistake

We've been counting down the top 14 airbrush mistakes, and we are down to the spot number 1.

The biggest mistake artists make is simply waiting on opportunity instead of creating opportunity. Many people hold the belief that success is obtained only though sheer luck. These people take no initiative and make no effort to realize their goals. Sure, they talk a lot about their dreams, but they just sit around waiting for fortune to favor them.

If you are the kind of person who thinks that fortune hasn't made its way to you yet, and that all successful people got that way by being lucky, then you might want to reconsider. Otherwise success will probably elude you forever.

You need to set goals, take action, and don't deviate from those goals. Easier said than done? Of course, but the prize of realizing your dreams makes the effort worthwhile.

It really makes sense that in order to become successful, a proactive approach is imperative. People must be able to find a way to know that you exist and that your talent can create a worthwhile product. Of course the journey will have obsticales, but the rewards can be life changing.

That is so me! If I don’t have a paying job to paint then I don’t practice. It always seems I “don’t have time”, unless of course I’m getting paid. But the truth is, I need to be painting panels and setting up at shows to keep my skills sharp and to get out there in front of the people/potential customers (go to them, don’t sit around like I do and wait for them to magically come to you). #DuncanCustomAirbrush
